pearl shell haiku

~ Haiku ~                                                                          ~ Haiku ~

Drenched in saltwater,
Shell mothers a dainty pearl
till death splits its parts

Till death splits its parts
Shell protects the sheen of pearl
corroding from salt.

The pearl sprang up from
seashell ajar, new baby’s
rendezvous with world
