The picture of Gangotri (the origin of the holy Ganga) was clicked during my last Kedarnath (Uttarakhand) visit.

Surf sways with cosmic glory

Stones melt with fury

Thank you so much Rakeshji! You should definitely visit the holy place. And please do write about the mythological significance of the place, if possible. I’m amazed with your mythological stories too.

I don’t know a lot about Gangotri, but being an admirer of Shiva, do know about Bhagirath. Will try to write about that. My grandparents have visited there and used to tell me stories about there. Thanks for liking my stories, Sangeetaji! 🙂
