Fainéant… a person, who thinks much but does nothing, as French say. Well, I would have loved to be one if allowed a life extraordinaire. I often pretend to become a fainéant when essay for perfection. The reason for I’ve always been blamed for being too lazy and tardy is my yearning for minute details, my craving for perfection. I love to indulge in the intricacies of anything and everything I do. Result?
So, I’ve confessed what I’ve been condemned for. I used to miss my morning lectures during college days and had even missed my flight once. Getting late for parties and events is my usual regimen. Funny, isn’t it? But, it hurts when you become late and miss an emotion…a heartbeat…a tear…a smile…a rainbow…June’s first downpour…petrichor…calls of evening grosbeak, life…….
My nazm is ‘INSPIRED’ or rather say ‘SHAMELESSLY INFLUENCED’ by a famous nazm of noted shayar Munir Niyazi, “Humesha der kar deta hoon main”, though I proudly proclaim of its each word and emotion being mine except the ‘Misra‘ (leitmotif).
Do watch this video for the heart wrenching nazm by Munir Niyazi
