वक़्त के साथ बदल जाए, उस बात से क्या हासिल
आँखों-ही-आँखों में कट गई रात से क्या हासिल
बुन गए बड़ी नफ़ासत से लफ़्ज़ों के जो ताने -बाने
उन झूठे रिश्तों में अब, जज़्बात से क्या हासिल
चाँद बिना ग़मगीन हुई, फिर स्याह अमावस रातें
तारों की बारात है, पर बारात से क्या हासिल
वोटों के बदले करते, जो रोज़ी – रोटी के सौदे
सियासतदानों की ऐसी सौगात से क्या हासिल
पिहु -पिहु गा गाकर, एक दिन फ़ना हुआ पपीहा
रूठा राग मल्हार, तो अब बरसात से क्या हासिल
रस्म-ओ-रिवाज़ में बंधकर हम परवाज़ भरें तो कैसे
जिनके नहीं जवाब, उन सवालात से क्या हासिल
बेशक़ीमती लोग वो, बस चाहे तारीफ़ – कशीदे
“संगीता” मुफ़लिस बेहतर, ख़ैरात से क्या हासिल?

This Ghazal (Hindi/Urdu poem) portrays the plight of a night rambler and her sleepless nights! It’s the musing of an insomniac, agonized by melancholy and bewildered by the gloomy, mystique darkness !

Very beautifully penned,being an insomniac i can relate with this very deeply. sabse achha laga 4th stanza ki do lines,bahot kuchh bayan kar rahi hai…sachhai, common feelings and questions those are always in the heart.
