She looked at his face,
His wounds pierced her soul deep
Volcano ensued
Volcano ensued
Mother lived a thousand deaths
Mankind was abashed!
Mankind was abashed
For Motherhood crucified
And life beheld truth.
A mother held her child’s corpse and the entire mankind witnessed the most doleful tears in it’s eyes. Christ laid in Mary’s lap after his crucifixion and her first glance to her deceased child was indeed the most dejected look one can ever imagine on a mother’s face. The very same look stroke my mind when I came across this week’s prompt ‘look’ of Haiku Horizons.
