It’s considered to be the most beautiful attire a woman adorns as it brings the best of beauty out of her. Today, The Style Symphony has come up with yet another OOTD, i.e., a sensuous saree from a traditional wear website called Triveni Ethnics. In our last saree outfit post, we discussed the sensual aspect of the drape which makes a woman seductive yet stylish and traditional yet contemporary. Today’s OOTD presents a saree from Triveni Ethnics as the coolest attire a woman can adorn.
History of saree as the cool attire!
Saree is indeed the coolest attire a woman needs to dress herself in during hot summer days. What we seek in summers to cool ourselves are the two cooling agents of nature— the elements of water and air. And a saree surely incorporates these two basic ‘tattvas’— the ‘Jal tattva’ (water element) and the ‘Vayu tattva’ (air element). The pallu of a saree that flows fearlessly expresses the free-flowing spirit of the air. Whereas, the drape which covers the entire body from head to toe comprises the spirit of water as if a woman emerges through water and is completely drenched.
The age-old ancient idea of a seamless piece of clothing itself has arrived from the cool elements of air and water. In Mahabharata, when Draupadi sought help from Lord Krishna to save her from Dushasana, Krishna himself evoked Varuna (water God) and Vayu (wind god) to enhance Draupadi’s saree to endless lengths. So, it’s the proven Mythological fact that saree is the coolest attire.
In modern times too, only a saree could suit the sensibilities of a woman while talking about summer attire. Especially, this Eyecatchy Grey Colored Border Worked Chiffon Saree from Triveni Ethnics is the perfect example of cool attire because of its soothing colors and pattern. It’s a light-grey chiffon saree with an embellished wide border in teal and royal blue. The border is further enhanced with silver zari embroidery, blue thread work, stones, and gold gotta-Patti work.
Also, we have received a well-cut and neatly stitched art-silk blouse that is complimenting and suits our size preferences.
It’s a lightweight saree that is quite rich in feel and texture, perfect for a cocktail party or a subtle evening do. It’s a sheer and airy saree with a cool aqua theme border which reminds of fresh breeze and sea waves.
So, only a woman can adorn air and water to express her true individuality with a delicate drape. And that’s the very reason a saree is the coolest attire!

Thanks and very well said Vinay 🙂
Well, me & Sangeeta Mishra (my mom) both are contributors of TSS and wee make it a team. She does handle the comment sections seldom depending on the posts that she writes for TSS. You can find more about the TSS team here: https://www.thestylesymphony.com/about-us-2/meet-the-team/ Hope that helps! 🙂 So, ideally if “Sangeeta” is mentioned a writer at the end of the posts, she would handle the comments and if you find similar outfit posts like this featuring me you can easily recognize me I’ sure 😀
