They say, “Exercises are like prose, whereas yoga is the poetry of movements.” Yoga helps to maintain an adequate balance between the mind, body and soul. Yesterday, 21st June, being the International Yoga Day, we at, The Style Symphony thought of celebrating it in our distinct way.
Following are the 10 unique yoga poses to boost your stamina and make you delve into a healthy lifestyle! 🙂
1. NATARAJASANA
It helps in improving the balance of the body and concentration and strengthens the muscles of hips, thighs and chest.
2. USTRASANA
Opening the front of the body, this yoga pose helps in increasing energy and strengthening the back and legs.
3. VRIKASANA
It helps in increasing the strength of the abdominal, torso and back muscles developing a personal sense of balance.
4. UTTANASANA
This yoga pose helps in waking up your hamstrings and soothing your mind. It also stimulates the nervous system and endocrine.
5. TRIKONASANA
This yoga pose helps in building strength and steadiness in the legs and feet. It also reduces blood pressure, stress and anxiety.
6. HALASANA
This yoga pose is effective in weight loss and back pain. It also helps in strengthening the abdominal muscles.
7. ANJANEYASANA
This yoga pose helps in relieving tension and improving the strength and flexibility in your hips, knees, legs, shoulders, arms, abdomen and back.
8. DHANURASANA
It is effective in weight loss program, helps in relaxing the body muscles and increases memory. It is good for the flexibility of back, neck, shoulders and spine.
9. PURVOTTANASANA
This yoga pose stretches the chest, shoulders and biceps and helps in strengthening the whole body from the shoulders to the toes.
10. URDHVA MUKHA SVANASANA
This is a back-bending yoga posture that helps in strengthening the arms, wrists and spine. It facilitates a pain-free lower back.
