Open your lips and sing
When Nótus blows in a baritone
Birds are songsters of spring,
When Zephyr eddies in a soprano
Come, open your lips and sing !
Birds are songsters of spring,
When Zephyr eddies in a soprano
Come, open your lips and sing !
.
When autumn leaves fall in falsetto
Queen bee quaffs with her sting,
The lone Moon laughs in his languor
Just open your lips and sing !
.
When Nyx drops off in her darkly drape
Dewdrops turn in jasmines,
With the Vaudeville of Venusian arts
Just open your lips and sing !
.
My symphonies spurt in new Sonnets
Come! Sing with your songstress !

Tried writing one more Sonnet for a poetry prompt during #NaPoWriMo2021 following the form and feet of a classic Shakespearean/Elizabethan Sonnet in terms of structure, rhythm and rhyme schemes. This post has a sundry of my fascination….a Shakespearean Sonnet… the resonance of Bethoven’s Moonlight Sonata… Greek mythology and Symphonies are others of my favourites which I have infused in this Sonnet. Please let me know about your views on this poesy.
