Fantasy does turn into reality sometimes, just the way a planned wardrobe malfunction turned out to be my ‘Cinderella story’ in disguise ! Jolly was the day when I was shortlisted among the finalists to walk the ramp to compete for the Ms.Fresher’s tittle. Ready to perform my best, I plunged into the event with the choices of outfits and footwear for all the 3 rounds. Performing fabulously in the first talent round, I moved on hopefully towards the green room, all set for the last two rounds. Next was the ‘ethnic wear round’ followed by the finale being the ‘formal western wear round’. I was carrying two exemplary ensembles that included an exquisite silk anarkali kurta set and an enticing LBD along with a sexy pair of stilettos to compliment both. But to my utter shock, while getting ready I discovered that one of my heels was broken intentionally. Ohh Fishhh ! :-O I was in a mess and totally stuck into What-to-do-now-and-what-not dilemma. I quickly called home and asked mom to send another pair asap. But unfortunately, running short of time for the on-going round, without giving a damn, I broke the other heel as well and walked the ramp in my traditional attire and those stilettos-turned-flats with utter confidence. And voila ! I made it to the 3 finalists ! ^_^
Yes ! I was that crowned princess midst all envy’s frowns ~ the “Ms. Fresher Of The Year” and that is indeed my most cherished and memorable style moment till date ! Cheers! 🙂
