A Haiku is a Japanese poem traditionally comprising of seventeen syllables, in three lines of ‘five’, ‘seven’, and ‘five’, which evokes natural images.
The next morning, after that stormy night, I found that single flower in my garden, which survived because it was covered with leaves. What a blissful feelings it was, to see those leaves expressing love and the flower being pampered!

..and to know that it is a Euphorbia flower from the thorny cacti family, enhances the meaning! Beautiful haiku, Sangeeta ji!

That is so beautiful — the image of leaves swaddling and protecting flowers from the vagary of nature. I’m guessing it was the maternal instincts that inspired these lines. 🙂 Have a beautiful weekend, you two. 🙂
Yes, you are right. It is indeed the maternal instinct. What else it could be, being written by a mother ? Thank you so much for your kind words. Have a nice weekend to you too. 🙂 <3
Baatein yeh kabhi na….u really sung it very nicely…lovely voice u’ve got….keep it up…as for the above post love is exactly the same as u have depicted above…it is protective…it is giving up oneself for the other…no matter what happens to oneself the other one would always be protected….nice lines u have put up…i really do not understand haiku and all but what u have written in those three lines is amazing…keep it up…good work…Yogesh – ygoel.blogspot.com
